Seedance AI Video Generator

SwapFace gives you Seedance in two builds, Fast and Mini. Both take a text prompt or a reference image, hold a character's face and clothing steady from one shot to the next. You can also pin the first and last frame of a clip and let the model fill in the motion between them.

How to Use Seedance AI Video Generator?

Step 1

If you need to upload a reference image, upload it and click the @ to mention the image you want the model to refer to. If you don't need a reference image, skip to step 2.

Step 2

Describe your video in detail if you want cinematic effect, specify the action and angle, and expression change, etc. Also set the first and last frame if you need more accurate output.

Step 3

Select the model you want: Seedance Fast & Seedance Mini, Omni reference & First and last frame, and the ratio, resolution, time duration.

Step 4

Download the video if the output satisfies you, or refine your prompt if it doesn't meet your expectation.

Features of the Seedance Model

Text, Image, and Audio Inputs

Seedance accepts more than a prompt. You can hand it reference images and audio in the same generation, and it uses all of them to shape the output. Describing a scene in words gets you somewhere close. Showing the model what you mean gets you closer.

Sound Generated in the Same Pass

Audio comes out of the same generation as the picture, so dialogue lands on the mouth movements and ambient sound matches what is on screen. You skip the step where you drop the clip into an editor and nudge a sound file around until it lines up.

Characters That Hold Across Shots

Give it a reference image of a person and that face carries through the scenes it generates. This is what makes multi-shot sequences usable. Without it you get a different-looking person every few seconds, which ends any attempt at telling a story.

Camera Movement and Shot Transitions

Camera angle and movement respond to direction, so you can ask for a push in, a pan, or a cut to a wider framing instead of accepting whatever the model decides. How precisely it follows varies with the prompt, and it takes a few tries to learn what phrasing it responds to.

Resolution and Length

The lightweight tiers run at 720p, which is enough for social platforms, where everything gets compressed anyway. The standard model goes higher when you need the detail. Clip length covers the short end that social formats use, and longer sequences come from generating shots and joining them.

Seedance Fast vs Seedance Mini

Both are the lightweight tiers of Seedance, and both top out at 720p. Mini is the newer of the two.

Speed and Cost

Mini finishes a clip noticeably quicker than Fast, and it bills at a lower rate per second. ByteDance's benchmarks put the speed gap at roughly double, though what you actually see depends on queue load at the time you run it. The cost difference is wide enough that it changes how you work: when a draft is cheap, you stop treating each generation as something you have to get right on the first try.

Output Quality

On motion coherence and frame stability, the two land close together. Mini holds up about as well as Fast across most prompts despite being the cheaper tier.

What Both Tiers Share

Neither goes above 720p. If you need 1080p or 4K, you need the standard Seedance model instead. Past that, the two tiers behave the same way: text to video, image to video, with native audio syncing and clips running from 4 to 15 seconds.

Which One to Use

Use Mini for drafts and for any shot you expect to regenerate several times before you keep one. Fast still works, and if you have jobs already pinned to it there is no urgency to move them.

What People Make with Seedance

Bringing a Swapped Photo to Life

The most common starting point on SwapFace is a still you already made here. Run a face swap or an outfit swap, then feed that image to Seedance and it becomes a moving clip with the same face and the same clothes. The person turns, the fabric moves, the light shifts across them. You keep the edit you spent time getting right and add motion on top of it.

Product Video for Online Stores

A listing with a short clip holds attention longer than one with flat photos. If you have a product shot or a model image, Seedance can turn it into a few seconds of the garment moving on a body. Sellers running dozens of SKUs use this to get video on every listing without booking a shoot for each one.

Short-Form Social Content

Clips in the 5 to 15 second range are what TikTok, Reels, and Shorts run on. Seedance works at that length, so you can go from an idea to something postable in one sitting. Creators use it for concept clips, transitions, and the kind of quick visual gag that would otherwise need a camera and a location.

Storyboards and Pitch Material

Before anyone commits budget to a real shoot, a rough moving version of the idea makes it easier to agree on. Seedance clips are cheap enough to make several versions of a scene and let the client pick, which is harder to justify when every version costs a crew day.

Seedance AI Video Generator FAQs

1.What is Seedance?

Seedance is a video generation model built by ByteDance. You give it a text prompt, an image, and it returns video, with sound generated in the same pass so dialogue and ambient audio match what is on screen. On SwapFace you can run it on images you already made here, so a face swap or an outfit swap can be turned into a moving clip without leaving the site.

2.What's the longest video Seedance can generate?

A single generation runs up to 15 seconds. For anything longer, generate the shots separately and join them. Using the same reference image across those generations keeps the character looking consistent from one shot to the next.

3.What's the resolution of Seedance Mini and Fast?

Both tiers output at 720p. That is the ceiling for both of them, and the standard Seedance model is the one that goes above it. For TikTok, Reels, and Shorts, 720p is usually enough, since those platforms re-compress whatever you upload. If you need the file for a landing page or a paid ad, the higher-resolution model is worth the difference.

4.Can I use Seedance here for free?

Seedance runs on paid plans only. Video generation costs far more to run than image editing does, so it sits behind a subscription while the face swap and clothes swap tools stay free to try.

5.Is it safe to use Seedance here?

Yes. Your uploads and the clips you generate are deleted automatically after 24 hours, and nothing you run through the tool is used to train any model. The files stay yours while they are on our servers, and after a day they are gone.
